Foggy Fingers

These fingers of fog were too much to resist. They look like they are in search of something to grab as they skim the top of the frozen lake.

Blues and Purples

Standing down by the marina at the lake I looked back to see where Vegas had disappeared, and I noticed how the sky looked with blues and purples and just a sliver of the moon showing.

Beautiful Sunsets

So hard to capture the colors of the sunrises and sunsets. I need more practice. It seems like timing is so important, too. This photo is a sunset last night on the way home about 5 pm. I thought the clouds were prettier than this......

More Snow!

Woke up to more snow. Maybe enough to go snowshoeing again. We have put that on hold for a couple weeks because of the conditions of the trails. They are ice and bare dirt. Not ideal for shoeing. The lake is now completely frozen over. With a dusting of snow. Before long people will try to walk out on the ice - I probably will not be among them.
